Resume

For the past week, we have been learning how to properly format a professional resume.  Today, I would like for you to pick a character, get creative, and produce a working resume.  The information on the resume must be relevant to the character and his/her attributes within the story.  However, you may be creative and invent some of the information - as long as it is relevant - as some information you will not be able to obtain from the book.

You will create the Resume in your Google Docs/Drive Account and then LINK it to Your Blog.

Here are your requirements:

Magazine Cover

Which character would make it onto the cover of a magazine?  Choose a character that you believe serves an essential role in the book.  Find an image online that best represents what you believe that character to look like in the book.  Think about the character's accomplishments and major attributions to the story.  Then, you will create an actual magazine cover and write up a 200 word article explaining their contribution the the Ugly/Pretty society.

Please utilize the following website to create the magazine cover:
www.fototrix.com

After you have created the magazine cover, save it to your computer, and then upload it to your Blogger webpage. Below the image, write your article that would be present within the magazine (if it were real).

The article must contain:
  • Accurate Information from the Novel
  • At least 200 Words
  • Direct Reference to One Character
  • One Quote from the Book
  • Think of Who, What, When, Where, and Why as you write!

See my example below.

Mrs. Carn's Example:

Scientist may have made a genetic breakthrough that affects millions!  A woman by the name of Maddie has suffered greatly and sacrificed a lot in the past decade all in hopes of finding an answer.  This past month…she may have finally found it!  After running away from the Pretty society and reversing her own surgery, it was her hope to leak out information about lesions found on the human brain and ultimately find a cure.  Now, with the help of Tally Youngblood she is closer than ever in finding a safe way to rid humans of this controlling disease – placed there by those of Special Circumstances.  People know and now they want answers!  Why the lesions?  What are the effects?  Can we be cured?  Maddie plans on studying and working on Tally Youngblood to get some answers.  Tally has gone through the surgery and now she will be the test dummy for the doctor.  This lesion changes your thinking and makes you extremely vulnerable.  Those affected have no original ideas and become conformists.  “It’s almost like you have turned robotic,” claims Maddie.  Tally will help us to reach the answers that we need.  Scientific American will continue to find this story and keep you posted on the most recent results.
